Their passion for hair has led them to work with top brands, stay ahead of trends, and continually expand their skills.
They first met at Twisted Scissors Salon in Chicago, building strong client relationships before relocating to NW Indiana.
In December 2022, Alise opened Kitsch and Beautician Beauty in Munster, offering an eco-friendly space for high-quality hair care.

Alise has been creating beautiful, lived-in hair color and precision cuts for over 20 years—but her creativity started long before opening Kitsch and Beautician Beauty, she mastered her craft everywhere from fashion boutiques to photography studios—and yes, even kitchen tables as a traveling stylist. That journey inspired the name you know today!”
From 2007 to 2020, Alise was a senior stylist at Twisted Scissors Chicago, honing her craft in color, cutting, and client care. She was named Best Colorist for Brunettes by Chicago Magazine Aug/2011 and while rich chocolate hues are her specialty, she loves creating fiery reds, bold rainbows, and everything in between. As a precision hair cutter, Alise customizes each look—from classic styles to edgy, modern designs—ensuring every cut grows out beautifully.
Alise is passionate about hair with purpose. She has worked closely with Children With Hair Loss
an organization providing free hair replacement to children under 21 and has become a master at cutting and fitting hairpieces for those in need.
Her commitment to education led her to train as an educator with Kevin.Murphy's Color.Me, where she embraced fashion-forward color, high-performance products, and sustainability.
Now, Alise is bringing her one-of-a-kind skill set to Northwest Indiana, ensuring your hair looks and feels incredible long after you leave the chair. She’s excited to be part of the Munster community and can’t wait to create your perfect look!
Heather Specializes in Naturally Curly Hair, Dreadlocks, Alternative Hairstyles and Balayage, Creative and Corrective Coloring Services. Booking with Heather you will experience the benefit of 20+ years of refined skill. She is constantly seeking the latest education to give you the best results.
From wavy hair or tight coils Heather’s goal is to help you fall in love with your natural texture. Each cut includes education on products for your curl type and visual demonstrations in different techniques that suit your curl type.
*Curly Specific Cuts 1:15-2:30 hours depending on the length, density and curl type.
Specializing in many dreadlocking techniques or all hair textures. Heather’s goal is always to help you achieve the style of dreadlocks you desire and to help you maintain clean, healthy, residue free locs. Heather has studied locking methods from many cultures and current techniques. Her goal is to inform clients starting their journey in the different styles of dreadlocks and dreadlock extensions to help clients achieve the end results they desire.
